A magical book, very fantastical but dark too. A timeless classic and a bit to different to what one would expect but typical of a Germanic fairy tale like a Grimms fairy tale. I last read this about 3 years ago, so its something I am not reading for the first time. I have never seen the ballet but I would like to one day.
