It is great how the adaptations are quite close to the book. My favourite version being The Muppets. It is not Christmas if I haven’t watched that movie.

I enjoyed this one, I felt there is more depth in this volume. More depth in terms of storylines and characters. It is a fun series but sadly the next volume is the last. Which given it was published several years ago I guess there is no more to come.
I have read this for 2 or 3 Christmases now and I do enjoy it. it’s an entertaining read and makes me wonder why I have not read the Rumpole series of books yet. Something to change in 2026.
An enjoyable collection of stories with great humour and observations about the British justice system.
Enjoyable, I really like how Laurie Lee writes and his writing is very vibrant and beautiful. Lived a life and childhood I wish I would have had. The old days were the best days.
The book is in four parts each covering a season, and a chunk to do with London, it does cover Christmas but is not solely about Christmas. The title is misleading if you are expecting a book solely on Christmas.
I hope next year I finally get around to reading Cider With Rosie.
